William Steuer, Management Officer, and Klavdija Cesar, Human Resources Specialist, visited the Verzej Youth Center as part of a series of donations by the US Embassy and NBA Basketball Player Rašo NesteroviÄ? or the Toronto Raptors, March 6, 2007, Verzej

Mr. Steuer and Ms. Cesar visited the Youth Center in Verzej to donate 13 NBA basketball balls.  This was one in a series of visits to donate 120 basketballs to Youth Centers across Slovenia.
The Verzej Center provides a home to up to 60 school-age children from througout Slovenia. The students live in family groups of 10 and scholastic studies are complemented with outdoor activities including horticulture and beekeeping ... and now basketball!
