Deputy Chief of Mission Maryruth Coleman speaks at International Conference exploring Government’s role in fostering women in entrepreneurship, June 7
Deputy Chief of Mission Maryruth Coleman, along with four diplomats from other missions in Ljubljana, presented ways in which governments are assisting women entrepreneurs increase their stake in the domestic marketplace. DCM Coleman shared how, alongside individual efforts, the U.S. Government’s Women’s Business Enterprise Act of 1988 has been helping women-owned businesses compete more effectively on federally-funded projects. The conference drew over 70 international businesswomen to the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce.
