What does the Consular Section do for Americans in Slovenia
Consular staff provides the following services for Americans in Slovenia:
Provide help to Americans in emergencies, including assistance in the event of an American's death, serious illness or injury, or when an American is arrested or becomes destitute while abroad.
Pass emergency messages to Americans traveling in Slovenia in the event of an emergency back home.
Disseminate security-related information to Americans in Slovenia via the Embassy's Warden System.
Issue U.S. passports to Americans citizens in Slovenia.
Issue Consular Reports of Birth Abroad to American citizens born in Slovenia.
Provide advice about the acquisition and loss of U.S. nationality.
Notarize documents for use in the United States.
Provide American citizens with information about how to request absentee ballots and how to register to vote from overseas.
Provide information about travel conditions in foreign countries and requirements for American citizens to travel to foreign countries.
Assist people who receive federal benefits from the U.S. Government.
