Visa Types

Transiting Through a U.S. Airport

Travelers who wish to transit through an airport or seaport in the United States en route to another destination must apply for a C-1 transit visa.  Travelers who are citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) member countries, including Slovenia, are not required to obtain a C-1 visa in order to transit through the United States; they may perform this travel under the VWP.

Documents Required for C-1:

  • Copy of reservations or itinerary indicating onward travel

Please note that we can give no assurances in advance regarding the issuance of visas. Therefore, please do not make final travel plans or purchase nonrefundable tickets until a visa has been issued.
