Take Care – Inspiring People to Care about Our Planet

The U.S. Embassy in Slovenia, together with National Geographic Slovenia and Ljubljana Tourism, prepared the photo exhibition “Take care – inspiring people to care about our planet.” The  three-month exhibition of 120 photographs featured nature scenes from the U.S. and Slovenia. September 5, 2012 was the day of the grand opening, featuring a fashion show entitled “PullOver games” with 18 outfits designed by the team Young@Squat. Young designers were toying with the concept of recycling, and they created amazing new clothes from recycled materials. In mid-September and mid-December we arranged two walks through the exhibit that were led by the Photo Editor at the Slovene edition of National Geographic Magazine, Arne Hodalič. Several Slovene photographers whose stunning work was published in the National Geographic Slovenia magazine also accompanied. We were delighted to see how many people participated in the events. We are thrilled to announce that this year part of the exhibition is moving to Triglav National Park.
