Roma Teenagers Showcase New Video Skills by Presenting their Documentaries, October 1

Monday, October 1, 2007 was a big day for 14 boys and girls, aged 12-14 years, who had participated in a video skills workshop organized by Association for Preventive and Voluntary Work, co-funded by U.S. Embassy Ljubljana. The project goal was to facilitate the integration of young Roma into the local community.  They were trained in how to work with cameras and computers to create short documentaries picturing life in Roma community in southeastern Slovenia.

The documentaries were shown to the general public at a well-known movie theater in Ljubljana capital.  All participants agreed that an excellent relationship was established between local producers, trainers and Roma community.
