Ambassador Mussomeli attended a stunning free concert by the Princeton High School Choir performing alongside the Veter Choir from Slovenia. The Princeton Choir has a markedly rich tradition of choral excellence that is unique among American high schools. The group has performed extensively in North America and Europe while touring as representatives of Princeton, New Jersey, one of America’s most distinguished communities. One of five ensembles, the 82 members of the choir are selected after careful auditions from the nearly two hundred voices in the high school’s choral program. The choir's amazing sound should come as little surprise. At the concert they presented a wide variety of music: classical music by Mozart, an American folksong titled “Nelly Bly,” an African American Spiritual, “Ain’t Got Time to Die,” and more gospel music. At the end of the concert the two choirs sang two songs together: an American song and an old Slovene folksong. It was a magical evening in the magnificent Slovenian Philharmonic Hall.
