Slovene Armed Forces Participate in Training Management Course, Ig, May 9-16
From May 9-16, members of the Slovenian Armed Forces participated in a Military Training Management Course presented by the U.S. Army. This event, hosted at the Training Center of the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief in Ig, involved Slovene officers and noncommissioned officers who develop and manage training at all levels within the Slovene Armed Forces. The course focused on the implementation and use of Slovenia’s newly published military doctrine, which is comparable to the doctrines of the U.S. and other NATO countries. As part of this training, the U.S. officers provided valuable combat-proven experience to show the positive results of the use of this type of doctrine. The second phase of this training, which focuses on the battalion command team, is currently scheduled for October of this year.
