Ambassador Robertson Visits New Mayor of Novo Mesto, Krka Pharmaceutical, and NGO,  March 27

Ambassador Robertson and Economic Officer Jules Kim visited Novo mesto on March 27.  Ambassador Robertson paid a call on the new Mayor of Novo mesto, Alojz MuhiÄ?, who explained his plans for economic and educational development of the region by establishing two new technical colleges.  Ambassador Robertson also visited the Association for Developing Voluntary Work.  The Embassy has supported several of the Association’s programs which help to promote better understanding between the Roma and their non-Roma neighbors.  Ambassador Robertson finished his day in Novo mesto with a tour of Krka’s NOTOL plant, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for solid forms of medical drugs.
