National Geographic Junior Quiz Winners, the “Animal Kings,” Visit U.S. Embassy, August 10, 2007

On August 10,  the “Animal Kings” team visited the U.S. Embassy to meet with Ambassador Thomas Roberston and Public Affairs Officer Bob Post and to share their impressions from their recent trip to Washington D.C.  The Animal Kings were the victors in a nationwide competition of primary school students organized by National Geographic for Kids in Slovenia and co-funded by the U.S. Embassy.  As their prize, they traveled to Washington where they visited National Geographic headquarters and toured the city.  to get the insight of the work at the Embassy.  The three primary school pupils from the Anton Ukmar School in Koper - Iva Puhov, Rok BorovniÄ?ar and Andraž Žele - together with their parents, mentors and quiz organizers also learned about the work of the U.S. Embassy.
