Changes of Name

If your name has changed, then you may apply to have your name changed in your U.S. passport.  The procedures are slightly different depending upon how long ago your current passport was issued, and depending upon what caused your name to change (marriage, divorce, court decree, etc.).  In all cases, we can no longer simply amend your current passport to reflect your new name; you must apply for a new passport or passport card in the new name.
