The Embassy is located in the center of Ljubljana at the corner of Prešernova cesta and TomšiÄ?eva ulica.  The public entrance to the Embassy is on TomšiÄ?eva ulica.  There is no public parking at the Embassy, but there is paid parking along Prešernova cesta and a paid parking lot around the corner on ŠubiÄ?eva ulica.

The Ljubljana city bus that runs closest to the Embassy is Route #14 Savlje-Vrhovci, which includes a stop about two blocks south of the Embassy on Prešernova cesta.

Walking Directions from the Ljubljana Train Station

You can reach the Embassy by taxi from the Ljubljana train station in about five minutes for about five euros, but if you prefer to walk, it will take about 30 minutes:

• Come out of the train station and turn right onto Trg Osvobodilne Fronte
• After two blocks, at the major cross intersection, turn left onto Slovenska cesta
• Walk straight for about six long blocks
• With the Best Western Slon Hotel ("slon" means "elephant" in Slovene) on your left and the NAMA department store on your right, turn right onto Cankarjeva cesta. The NAMA store is now on your left and a ZARA clothing store is on your right.
• Walk about four blocks and look for the Narodna Galerija on your right
• Turn left onto Prešernova cesta
• Walk one block, and the Embassy is on the corner on your right
• Turn right onto TomšiÄ?eva ulica, and the Embassy's public entrance is down a bit on your left

Driving Directions from Maribor

• Take the A1 southwest towards Ljubljana;
• Pay toll at Kompolje just east of Ljubljana, using Euros or a credit card;
• You will approach Ljubljana's Ring Road (ObroÄ?) from the northeast. 
• Follow the blue sign "Lj.-Kranj," which exits right to follow the ring road counterclockwise.
• From the Ring Road (ObroÄ?), take the 3rd exit, marked "Lj.-Bežigrad/Center";
• At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a left onto Dunajska cesta;
• After about 6 km, take a right at the light onto Tivolska cesta;
• After about 1 km, take a left at the light onto ŠubiÄ?eva ulica;
• Go straight through the light and the paid parking lot will be on your right.

To walk from the parking lot to the Embassy:

• Walk out of the parking lot and turn left, back up ŠubiÄ?eva, the same way you just drove in;
• At the light, cross the street and turn right onto Prešernova cesta;
• The Embassy is on the next corner, on your left;
• Turn left onto TomšiÄ?eva ulica.  The public entrance is down a bit on your left.

Driving Directions from Kranj

• Take the A2 southeast towards Ljubljana
• Pay toll at Torovo just northwest of Ljubljana, using Euros or a credit card;
• Take the highway all the way until it ends at a T intersection;
• At that light, take a left onto Celovška cesta;
• After about 6 km, go under the railroad overpass and take a right at the light onto Tivolska cesta;
• After maybe 0.5 km, take a left at the light onto ŠubiÄ?eva ulica;
• Go straight through the light and the paid parking lot will be on your right.

To walk from the parking lot to the Embassy:

• Walk out of the parking lot and turn left, back up ŠubiÄ?eva, the same way you just drove in;
• At the light, cross the street and turn right onto Prešernova cesta;
• The Embassy is on the next corner, on your left;
• Turn left onto TomšiÄ?eva ulica.  The public entrance is down a bit on your left.

Driving Directions from Koper

• Take the A1 northeast towards Ljubljana;

• Pay toll at Ljubljana-Zahod just south of Ljubljana, using Euros or a credit card;

• You will approach Ljubljana's Ring Road (ObroÄ?) from the southwest. Follow signs "Lj.-zahod," which exits right to follow the ring road counterclockwise.

• Take the exit marked "Lj.-zahod/Ind. c. ViÄ?";

• At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a right onto Tržaska cesta;

• After about 2 km, take a left at the light onto Tivolska cesta;

• After about 0.5 km, take a right at the light onto ŠubiÄ?eva ulica;

• Go straight through the light and the paid parking lot will be on your right.

To walk from the parking lot to the Embassy:

• Walk out of the parking lot and turn left, back up ŠubiÄ?eva, the same way you just drove in;
• At the light, cross the street and turn right onto Prešernova cesta;
• The Embassy is on the next corner, on your left;
• Turn left onto TomšiÄ?eva ulica.  The public entrance is down a bit on your left.
