Lost  & Stolen Items

If your U.S. passport has been lost or stolen, please click here.

Lost Property Offices

You may wish first to contact the various lost property offices where your items may be located:

  • Brnik International Airport, tel: 04-206-1981
  • Ljubljana train station, tel. 01-291-3332
  • Ljubljana inter-city bus station, tel. 01-234-4623
  • Ljubljana city bus system, tel. 01-519-4017

If calling the numbers above doesn’t help, then you should file a police report, which can help in replacing some lost documents.  It is best filed at the police station nearest where the theft/loss is thought to have taken place, but any police station will accept the report.

Call 113 to reach the police.

Lost Airline Tickets

Report the loss or theft to your travel agent or to the airline.

Lost U.S. Driver’s License

These are issued by the individual states, and the Embassy cannot replace them.  The traveler will have to contact the DMV in his/her home state.

Lost International Student ID Card

Call the Erazem Association in Ljubljana at 01-433-1076.
