America Comes To Koper
On a pleasant evening on June 19th, the American Corner hosted the “America Comes to Koper” event to highlight all of the achievements of the Corner for the past year and to continue to build relationships between Americans and the students and residents of the Koper area. Chargé d’Affaires Bradley Freden spoke with young high school students from the Koper area and participated in a roundtable discussion that included interns and staff from the Embassy. Following the discussion was a traditional American barbecue, with hot dogs and hamburgers, provided with the help of a local American expatriate. Finally, a young Slovene trio played excellent American jazz, providing the finishing touches for the little taste of America along the Slovenian coast.
