American Embassy Welcomes Halloween "Trick-or-Treaters", October 19, 2007, Ljubljana

On Friday, October 19, the Embassy welcomed over eighty school and kindergardens children dressed as ghosts, witches, fairy princesses, super heroes, and more, for a celebration of Halloween. 
Halloween, the last day of October, has a special significance for children, who dress in funny or ghostly costumes and knock on neighborhood doors shouting "Trick or Treat.”  Neighbors customarily reply by handing out small pieces of candy.
