Friends and Family

Should you lose your money and other financial resources, the Embassy can help you contact your family, bank, or employer to arrange for them to send funds. 
 
To transfer funds through the State Department, please see the State Department's web site.  
 
To transfer funds commercially to Slovenia, your family in the U.S. should go to the closest Western Union office and instruct them to send the money to Western Union’s nearest partner bank in Slovenia.  To send money through the partner bank nearest to the Embassy, the funds should be sent as follows:

(Your Name, exactly as it appears in your passport or ID)

You can find the locations of other partner banks in Slovenia at the web site of Western Union. The senders must provide you with a 10-digit confirmation number that you will need in order to pick up the money. They should also give you their correct name and telephone number. You must present a photo identification to collect the money.
