Electronic visa application forms required as of November 1, 2006

From November 1, nonimmigrant visa applicants WORLD-WIDE will be required to use the electronic English-language form DS-156 when applying for visas

For those Slovenes who require visas to the United States (click here to learn who needs a visa), the U.S. Embassy will no longer accept visa applications that have been completed by hand.
The online application form automatically saves all the data in a barcode printed onto the application form, which can be scanned at the Embassy.   While the Embassy strongly encourages all applicants to complete these forms online before coming to the Consular Section, there will be a computer available in the waiting room at the Embassy for customers to use in completing application forms.  Should you need assistance in understanding the English-language questions, or answering in English, click here for a Slovene-language guide to the application form.  You may also call us between 1 and 3 p.m. on 01-200-5599 with any questions you might have.  This conversion to the electronic form is designed to improve the accuracy of information in our visa records, with the goal in the long run of speeding the processing of your application documents. We appreciate your understanding as we make this change.

SUMMARY INSTRUCTIONS (See the Slovene language guide for detailed instructions):
