So, you want to study in the US?

Ad Futura, Embassy partner and director of the local EducationUSA center, recently hosted a workshop on study abroad for local high-school and university students, covering themes from where to study, to how to pay for it, to what to expect when you come back. The program included a panel discussion with study abroad alumni, an explanation by Darinka TrĨek of Ad Futura of their programs and how they can help, and a presentation by Susan Wilson from the US Embassy on studying in the United States.  As part of her session, Ms. Wilson mingled with the audience and asked questions of the attendees. This was an effort to give the assembled students the feeling of being in US classroom, where the professors are usually less formal and the sessions tend to be more interactive. At the end of her presentation, there were so many questions that they nearly ran over into the next session. The students left, full of information and excited about their possibilities in studying abroad.
