Ambassador Robertson Completes “Walk Across Slovenia” Fundraiser for the International Trust Fund for Demining, Strunjan, July 7

Completing a journey he began in 2005, Ambassador Robertson reached the end of the E6 European Walking Route in the Adriatic town of Strunjan on July 7.  The Ambassador’s 315 kilometer hike along the Slovenian portion of the transcontinental trail served as a fundraiser for the International Trust Fund for Demining (ITF), a non-profit Slovenian organization dedicated to the eradication of landmines in South Eastern Europe.  His walk across Slovenia allowed Ambassador Robertson to experience the beauty of Slovenia’s mountains and valleys first hand, to meet Slovenes from every walk of life, and to raise awareness and funds for ITF along the way.
