Chargé d'Affaires Maryruth Coleman Speaks to the National Children’s Parliament, Ljubljana, March 10, 2008

The 18th National Children’s Parliament convened on March 10th in the building of Slovenia's National Assembly with representatives from all regions of Slovenia. Chargé d'Affaires Maryruth Coleman greeted the children and other guests, including National Assembly President Mr. France Cukjati, Member of Parliament Mr. Sašo Peče and President of the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth Mr. Franc Hočevar. Around 150 children from different primary schools, aged 13-15, discussed the topic of this year’s Children’s Parliament, "Entertainment and Free Time". The U.S. Embassy sponsored the project for 5th year in a row.
