Ambassador Robertson’s visit to Celje, March 21, 2007

Ambassador Robertson accompanied by Pol/Econ Chief Colleen Hyland made a one day visit to Slovenia's third largest city Celje.  The Ambassador met with Celje Mayor Bojan Šrot and spent the day visiting ILEA graduates at Celje's police station, greeting Colorado National Guard officers conducting a joint leadership program with Slovenia's 20th Motorized Battalion, and discussing current events with members of the EU Junior class at Lava Highschool.  Ambassador Robertson also had the opportunity to meet with the Director and some business partners of Tehnopolis, Celje's ambitious venture to attract high tech business and academia to Celje.
