Robert Callahan, a State Department Public Diplomacy Fellow at George Washington University, shares his experience with media professionals and students, May 20-22, 2007
Robert Callahan visited Slovenia from May 20-22 to discuss public relations, the media and government. Mr. Callahan met with Slovenian and international students, government officials, media representatives and others to discuss the changes in the U.S. media environment, public relations theory and the relationship between government and the media. Mr. Callahan is an American diplomat who is currently teaching at the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University. As a former press spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, he shared his experiences on working in a turbulent environment and presented techniques on crisis communication management. Mr. Callahan also visited Zagreb and Belgrade as part of this program.
