“Biking for Life” Charity Ride Announced, Ljubljana, April 24

“Biking for Life,” a charity fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Surgical Ward of the Ljubljana Clinical Center, was announced at a press conference by Ambassador Thomas B. Robertson, Le Monde Diplomatique General Manager Dušan Arzenšek, and Dr. Janez Primoži�?  A joint project by the U.S. Embassy and Le Monde Diplomatique, “Biking for Life” seeks to raise funds in order to purchase a ventilator for the Children’s Surgical Ward to help children whose lungs have failed.  Prime Minister Janez Janša will be the Honorary Sponsor of “Biking for Life.”

Building upon the success of last year’s “Biking for Darfur” charitable event, this year’s fundraiser will again feature a bike ride in Kostanjevica na Krki.  The ride will take place May 26 at 10:30 a.m.  To register for the ride, please visit www.monde-diplomatique.si/.
