The U.S. Embassy and the Faculty of Social Sciences (FDV) at the University of Ljubljana celebrated the opening of the Embassy’s second, and newest American Corner at FDV in Ljubljana.
Chargé d’Affaires Bradley Freden and Dean Anton Grizold gave opening remarks to a crowd of guests which included prominent professors as well as students. Guests were invited to browse the vast collections of American literature and media in the Corner and participate in a lecture and discussion session on aspects of cultural identity lead by Professor Ales Debeljak, a local cultural critic, essayist, and poet.
